Broody and intense, but the depth of his love for Olina is swoon worthy. Before I read this book, I had read some reviews which had me wondering if this one would be something I'd like, reviews from people whose opinions I trust. While attempting to find his assassin, I survived months in the fighting pits of the Outer Rings, only to discover a hidden community of mixed people, tucked away in the highest of the suspended islands of the Oscala. Finally, our heroine, Olina, makes the right choices and stops running everytime something scares her emotionally.
The ending to this was quite surprising because… there is a fourth book to look forward to! There's civil unrest stirring on Glacium, threatening King Jovan's rule, and Olina is convinced she knows who's behind it. Her brothers are there, as well as the village people she cares so much about. She is the rightful leader of her home planet, Osolis. Fantasy of Fire starts to answer so many unanswered questions whilst leaving you wanting the fourth book here and now to find out more! This place was called the Ire. Old questions rise up and threaten to explode. Un sans faute pour ce tome.
During our journey through the Oscala, they found the opposite was true. Olina continues to be kick butt and tough. The two halves of me tug in opposite directions. Full of action, adventure, romance and political intrigue, with an A+ in character development, this series is fast becoming an all time favourite for me and I couldn't be more happy about it!! This was a nice addition to the series. We get to see the delegation but also Olina's other friends, those who know her as Frost, the pit fighter. Clare was going to take but I ended up loving this book even more than the first one. It made me laugh, and it made me cry! Olina has to flip back and forth between being Tatuma and being Frost.
Book three really shows the finesse that St. But, unlike Mia Corvere, the heroine of my dreams, in this story it just doesn't feel genuine. And of course, multitudes of thanks to my readers.
