Now she has to win over a whole town and prove herself not only to her grandfather but also to Matt, who will do just about anything to get rid of her in the beginning. Sara — Writing has been a compulsion for me since fifth grade. Not saying with this the book should have been longer, but more time could have gone down implicitly as a way to make things not so easy. She'll prove her worth, even if it means answering to the company's ruggedly handsome co-owner, Matt. Everyone assumes Veronica will fail, as she has never worked construction before.

Matt Shaw was trying to live in his brother's footsteps by running his brother's construction company and raising his niece in the home his brother had. The story is nice - it's set at a nice pace, and overall it was really nice. I round out the day by catching up on email and social media again. And then the story just continues without addressing it in detail. But they come across very flat.
I grew up in a small town and was once a landlord of two uninvited squirrels. Veronica's grandfather tells he business partner that she will be helping him. That mix of sweet, vulnerable, tough, fearless, and irreverent made me fall head-over-heels in love. All of the characters were colorful and well developed and some really having you to laughing out loud. Veronica is a Chicago socialite determined to make a life of her own. There was a small one later in my life but I rarely went into town because I was employed as an English teacher at a boarding school in Germany, located about 2 miles outside of the nearest town.

I write for a while, then wander the house, reheat my coffee and find some food. It wasn't until about 60% in that I realized that the lovebirds hadn't had much screen time together yet, but I didn't care because I was so caught up in her story! This was another good love story that evolved around Matt and Veronica that was sweet and funny read. Authors helping bloggers, bloggers helping authors. Also, changes come rather too quickly, in my opinion for it to feel genuine. Sara Daniel writes what she loves to read—irresistible romance and captivating emotional drama.
Sara — Well, I try to plot. Veronica leaves her wealthy parents and lifestyle behind and wants to go out into the world to use her college degree and prove something to herself. The sense of belonging you get in a small town cannot be found in a city. The thing is, I still can't give it 4 stars like I wanted, because I couldn't connect with the story at several times or, really feel the chemistry the main characters were supposed to convey. The twenty-seven year-old heiress has decided that the only way to show her parents and the world that she's worth more than what she's been groomed for is by proving herself. As a former city folk, Matt has been living in Kortville for a few years and has really grown to love his new community.
Peggy Roberson 8:31pm September 29, 2012 Like this plot summary. Initially, i thought the the idea of her being a construction worker was a bit silly but it really works because it's told well. Veronica and Matt both ended up having to take a good hard look at themselves and determine who's dreams they were going to go after: their own or those of their loved ones. He was a lot like Veronica in the fact that he seemed to always be in his own head. Veronica's grandfather promised the town money when he sells his distribution plant and when Veronica shows up he tells her she is going to run the plant.
As a woman in the construction business, it is particularly appealing to me. Selling her graduation present, paying off her student loans and heading to the small town where her grandfather lives is where she's determined to make her mark. Matt is a nice guy who's trying to do the right thing. Not saying with this the book should have been longer, but more time could have gone down implicitly as a way to make things not so easy.
