This might help I had a Bosch alternator and posted a question here noone offerend any advice and then one day I found this nice diagram of plug types that made it all clear. As long as the alternator functions properly without this wire which a carb alternator certainly does I should be okay just not using it. I would probably ignore the connection to oil pressure circuit. I bet the purpose of this terminal is to energize the field windings of the alternator. Each plug can only fit into the correct socket, so insert one of the plugs into one of the three sockets. Please comment for more information and thank you for using fixya.
